Appletree Kennels features a full service grooming salon.  Master groomers and handlers Bob Desotelle and Tracy Robinson have competed in the ring and together have nearly 30 years of experience grooming dogs.  Your dog can be groomed “for the show” or for a romp in the park…. It’s your choice!

The Grooming Process

We begin with a bath.  Ours is not a simple bath, but a deep cleansing and massaging Hydro-Bath.  We have a variety of specialized shampoos to choose from and each address either coat needs or skin needs of your pet.  Next is conditioning. Here again, we utilized the hydro bathing system to work conditioners deep into the coat to maximize effectiveness.

Drying the coat is completed on the table with hand dryers and brushing to revive the coat and open the hair for scissoring or clipper work.  Grooming for the Appletree Staff is as much an art as it is a task.

Bathing:

Our large bath tub accommodates dogs of all sizes and we have the shampoos and treatments to handle everything from dry skin to fleas.  Once your dog is clean and deodorized, it will be blow dried and ready for pick up.  Every bath includes a nail trim and ear cleaning. Rates vary depending on size of dog:

Bath and nails: $15-$35

Skunk or flea treatment: $25
