AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) - This class is for dogs and owners just starting the training process. The seven-week course begins with a class that reviews basic dog psychology and behavior. You’ll learn what makes your dog tick, why it behaves the way it does and what you can do to change that behavior. Here is a sneak peak of what you and your canine companion will learn at our school: 1. Healing on a loose leash 2. Meeting and greeting new people and dogs 3. Sit and down on command 4. Coming when called 5. Supervised separation 6. Accepting friendly strangers 7. Sitting politely for a pet This entry level obedience course teaches our canine companions to behave more predictably in social settings and enables pet owners to be aware of proper training techniques. CGC is an excellent way to prepare handler and dog for more demanding obedience work and even prepare for eventual competition. For more information or to register, call 920-743-8587
